Founded in 1959 as the Reading and Berks Basketball Old-Timers, Inc., the Reading Berks Basketball Association has a long history of supporting basketball in the local community.

In December, the RBBA became an approved receipent of Thrivent Choice Dollars. RBBA members who are Thrivent members may designate the RBBA to receive their "Choice Dollars" that they have earned.


Winter Shindig

March 27th, 2023 at Victor Emmanuel, 311 Hazel St., Reading.

Dinner to include pasta, meatballs, sausage, salad, Italian Wedding soup, bread, beer, soda, coffee, and dessert. Doors open at 4:30 PM, Pizza at 4:45 PM, Dinner at 5:30 PM.

Presenting the first annual Dr. Richard P. Flannery Award from left, Mike Schorn, committee co-chair, is Kerry Ciatto, and was presented by Brad Binder, grandson of the late Dr. Flannery along with Mike Miller, committee co-chair. This award is presented to an individual who best represents the outstanding qualities exemplified by the late Dr. Flannery of service, respect, family and faith.

Zakiyah Winfield, graduate of Wilson HS and 2018 RBBA Award winner, was present at the Winter Shindig 2022, coming off playing for the Division II Championship Glenville State University Team. Zakiyah scored 23 points in the Championship game. Reading Berks Basketball Association
