Background: Beckie was an outstanding high school player who scored 985 points in her career, led Exeter to Berks and District 3 titles as a sophmore and was a two-time Berks All-Star pick. Beckie attended Albright College and she was a four-year starter. She scored 1,173 points and collected 844 rebounds, 246 assists, and 207 steals. She was to the All-Middle Atlantic Conference first team four times. She was the Albright College Most Outstanding Senior Women Athlete in 1983 as she played field hockey, tennis, and basketball. She was a 1992-93 Exeter Sports Hall of Fame inductee and 1996 Albright College Sports Hall of Fame inductee.
