Background: Bill was an outstanding high school player who scored over 1,000 points (1,073). His senior year, the Mounts won the Berks County Title, the District III title and their first State Championship. Bill was named 1st Team All-State. He was named All-Berks County and he received the Jack Flowers Award as the County’s top senior player. He was recruited by Division I Wyoming University and played one year on the freshman team. Bill enlisted in the Navy and played competitive basketball during his nine years of service. He is also a member of the Mount Penn Sports Hall of Fame.
