College(s): East Stroudsburg University
Background: Bob was named the top athlete at Amity High School for three straight years. There were no high school basketball playoffs during the war. He played baseball and soccer at East Stroudsburg. He was a standout player in the Berks Rec A League. He coached boys basketball at Brandywine (1955-66) and Muhlenberg (1966-88). The Muhls won the Berks County Title in 1969 over a very talented Governor Mifflin squad. His overall record was 323-202. Bob coached four sports at Brandywine and two at Muhlenberg. He was named ”’Coach of the Year”’ multiple times in each sport he coached. Bob served as the Athletic Director at Brandywine and was the president of the Berks County Interscholastic Athletic Association (BCIAA). He also served on the governing board of the Reading Berks Basketball Association. Bob was inducted into the Berks County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1990 along with induction into the Muhlenberg and Brandywine Heights Halls of Fame.
