Background: Don was an outstanding high school player who scored 1,110 points. He played for legendary coach John Silan at Kutztown High School and Delaware Valley. Kutztown won the Berks County Championship his freshman, sophomore, and senior years. Don received the Jack Flowers Award as the top senior player in Berks County. He was a four-year starter at Delaware Valley and he still holds the school career scoring record (1,784) and career rebounding record (1,357) as of induction. Don was drafted by the Portland Trail Blazers and he had an outstanding Reading recreation career as well. He coached at Kutztown for two years and was instrumental in the Kutztown Youth Basketball program for 20 years. Don is also member of the Kutztown and Delaware Valley University Sports Halls of Fame. He joins his daughter, Paige, in the Berks County Basketball Hall of Fame.
