Background: Matt comes from a long line of great Holy Name High School point guards who played for Coach Lloyd Wolf. He was a three year varsity starter with a smooth handle. He led the Blue Jays to 23 wins his senior year including the first victory by a Berks Conference team over Reading High at the Geigle. Matt was a two-time All-Berks County selection. He was the recipient of the Dr. Richard Kleppinger Award which is given to the top senior basketball player in Berks County. He started all four years at Franklin & Marshall College where he scored 930 points playing for legendary coach Glenn Robinson. Matt took F & M deep into the NCAA Division 3 Tournament every year. He has been a very popular award winning sports journalist in the San Francisco Bay Area for the past 25 years primarily focusing on the NBA and the Golden State Warriors.
