Background: Mike was the first 1000 point scorer in Holy Name HS history. He scored 1110 career points and was a ferocious defensive player. Mike was the MVP of Holy Name’s 1970 State Championship team which finished 27-2 under Coach Lloyd Wolf. That Holy Name team was named one of the Top 20 All-Time best teams in Berks County history by the Reading Eagle newspaper in 2000. Mike was named All-Philadelphia Suburban Catholic League, All-City and First Team All-State. He received a scholarship to Bloomsburg University. Mike had a 25 year coaching career including four years as head coach at Mt. Penn and 12 years as head coach at Governor Mifflin. He is a member of the Holy Name Sports Hall of Fame.
