Robert ‘Bob’ Ford

Background: Bob Ford was a two-year starter under Coach John Silan at Wilson High School. In 1977, he led the Bulldogs to the Berks County Conference Championship and a 24-3 record. He was a fluid point guard who set the school record for assists with 142 while being honored with a first team All-Berks selection in 1977. Bob had an even greater career at Albright College where he was a four year starter and co-captain his senior year. He scored 1,852 points and still holds the Albright record for the most field goals in a season with 231. He was named the Middle Atlantic Conference MVP and the ECAC Regional Division 3 Player of the Year in 1981. He was inducted into the Berks County Chapter of the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame in 1992.
