Ronald ‘Reggie’ Weiss

High School: Bishop McDevitt, Class of 1961

College(s): Shippensburg University

Background: Reggie played high school basketball at Bishop McDevitt in Harrisburg where he made the All-Conference team in his senior year. He had a storied career at Shippensburg University while setting eight scoring records during his senior year. Reggie still holds the Shippensburg All-Time record for PPG in a season at 27.2. He was named to the PSAC All-Conference team his junior and senior years. He was the head boys basketball coach at Wilson High School for 21 years and led the Bulldogs to a 430-224 record, four County Championships and numerous State and District 3 appearances. He was the head basketball coach at Reading Central Catholic High School for five years and won the District and State Championship in 1985. He later came out of retirement and coached the Muhlenberg High School girls basketball team for five years and the boys team for two years. Reggie is a member of the Wilson Athletic Hall of Fame and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Berks County Chapter and the fourth winningest coach in Berks County.
