Background: One of Mt. Penn High School’s all time greats, George Conrad led Berks County in scoring his senior year. He had an outstanding career at Albright College where he scored 1719 points which ranks 6th in school history. He holds Albright season records of 23.6 PPG and 614 points. He was team MVP for three years and was named to Albright’s All-Century Team. George played for the Reading Keys in the prestigious Eastern Basketball League. He won the City Basketball League scoring title seven times. He is a member of the Mount Penn Sports Hall of Fame, the Albright Sports Hall of Fame, and the Pennsylvania Sports Hall of Fame Berks County Chapter.
