Background: Chiara scored 1,535 points at Governor Mifflin. She started for all four years and ranks second on the school’s career scoring list. She was named All-Berks County and was the recipient of the Catherine Rhodes Award as the most outstanding senior player. She starred on two Berks County Champions in 1991 and 1993, a District 3 AAAA Championship team in 1993 and she played in four PIAA state tournaments. Chiara was a four year starter at Division 1 Bucknell University and played in every game until an ACL injury curtailed her senior year. She scored 961 points and is 5th on Bucknell’s career steals list and 8th on career 3-pointers made. Bucknell won the Patriot League regular season title her junior year and she was named Second Team All-Patriot League her senior year. Chiara is generally recognized as one of the greatest players in Governor Mifflin history.
