College(s): Albright College

Background: John was voted first team All-Berks County in 1965 following his senior season at Governor Mifflin High School. He had a stellar career at Albright College where he scored 1,299 points and was named First Team All-MAC. He still holds Albright’s single-game scoring record of 54 points in a game against Lycoming College in 1969. He was an incredible athlete who could ‘jump out of the building’. He was a three year starter on his college, baseball team where he was named All-MAC. John was inducted into the Albright College Hall of Fame in 1994 and the Pennsylvania State Hall of Fame Berks County Chapter in 1999. He was also a member of the 1970 Exeter Black Knights team that won the National Amateur Basketball Association Championship in 1970.
