Background: Sam was an outstanding point guard at Reading for three years. He attended Albright College and was a four-year starter. He was known for his play making, court awareness, and hustle. Sam was the backcourt mate of Tom Pearsall, Albright’s all-time leading scorer. He was an outstanding player in Reading Rec Leagues for many years and he scored game high 58 points while playing for the California Sports Shop in 1965.
